Our Mid-Year Showcase is a chance for students, teachers, and friends of the studio to come together for a night of dance, community, and unforgettable memories.
Why Perform?
Performing is one of the most exciting and rewarding parts of a dancer’s journey — and our Mid-Year Showcase is designed to be a fun, supportive, and empowering experience for dancers of all levels.
You don’t need to be a “professional” dancer to take the stage. Many of our performers are everyday adults with full-time jobs who simply love to dance and want to challenge themselves in a new way.

Mid-Year Showcase FAQs
What is the Mid-Year Showcase Course?
Our showcase routines are taught as part of a special 8-week course during Term 2, where students will learn a choreography designed to be performed at the Mid-Year Showcase on Saturday, May 30th. Throughout the term, you’ll train the choreography, clean your technique, and work with your classmates to create a fun and polished performance piece.
Do I have to perform to take the class?
No — you’re very welcome to join the Term 2 course without performing. Many students choose to take the class simply to learn the choreography and enjoy the training experience. However, if you do plan to perform, we’ll need to know by Week 3 of the course so we can finalise stage formations and staging for the performance.
Who can attend the showcase?
Everyone is welcome! Students are encouraged to invite friends, family, and supporters to cheer them on and celebrate their performance.
Do I need to buy a costume?
We just ask students to wear all black for their group class performances. This way you can pull from your wardrobe and there is no pressure to purchase new clothing to be able to perform.
