Do I need to bring a dance partner?

You do not need a partner to be able to join in any of our classes! The partnered styles we teach are known as “social dances", which means you can walk into a party or event anywhere in the world and dance the same dance with a stranger - like a secret universal language!

Due to this social aspect, we rotate partners throughout our classes to make sure the moves work with anyone and everyone.

What should I wear to my dance class?

We recommend wearing stretchy comfortable clothing that you can move in. Denim is discouraged.

Your footwear choice can range from sneakers to jazz shoes, to Latin heels or flats. If you’re unsure for your first time, you might want to bring a couple of options. Thongs or sandals are not recommended.

Our Reggaeton, Twerk, and Urban Heels classes can sometimes involve floor-work, so wearing leggings (not shorts) or even soft volleyball or pole-dance-style knee pads is sometimes recommended.

What else should I bring to dance class with me?

We recommend you bring along a water bottle for hydration. If you’re planning on staying for a few hours, you might also want to bring along a snack to help keep you going.

If you’d like to purchase a cold drink, we also have a small bar fridge stocked with bottled water, powerade, and canned soft drinks.

What if I miss a dance class, is there a way to catch up?

Every solo (ie: non-partnered) dance class is recorded and class recordings are made accessible to all students. These classes are marked our timetable with an asterisk.

Whether you attend class IRL or via live stream, you will be granted access to the recording of that class so you can either catch up on a missed class or practice to your heart’s content! Class recordings are made available to students for one week, until the next class is uploaded.

After class, the recordings take approximately 24 hours to be processed and for Google Drive links to be emailed to all students registered for that class.

What about dance parties & events, should I dress up?

For our social dance parties, we love to get dressed up and look our best!

Obviously, dance-ability and movement is key, so it can’t hurt to test your outfit at home by busting a few moves just to make sure. Those who are particularly sweaty, sometimes like to bring along a towel or even a change of shirt or two. We have bathrooms on site for privacy whilst changing.

Can I pay with cash?

We prefer you register and pay for your classes online via our online shop. This not only reserves your spot in class (classes do have capacity limits) but also makes sure you spend your time with us dancing instead of filling in forms!

We can also accept card payments on site, if needed.

If you wish to pay with cash, we ask that you please have correct change as we do not keep cash on site.

We keep our classes small & intimate, so we highly recommend you to register for your dance class via our online shop before coming to the studio. This ensures you secure a spot in the class you want, and streamlines our admin to make sure your access to all our services is as smoothly as possible. Eg: Accessing live-stream services.
